That's one of the arguments that doesn't suck.

You make a great point that ALL laws do this though, and so I feel in part that this is an issue of our racist criminal justice system. We are already in a glaring racial double standard when it comes to open carry or the displays of gun culture. I think we can't consider a solution that doesn't de-escalate police violence and impose stiff penalties on cops who kill civilians, but I think we absolutely should pass gun control reforms, just not in isolation.Shini, of Gossip and Gloryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11603589313931618230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2660089177097719300.post-4278202132623055362018-05-22T16:51:26.240-07:002018-05-22T16:51:26.240-07:00Re: 25. While I do not dispute that there might have been racists motivations, too, the people who wrote the second amendment had just fought a very nasty and bloody war against a much larger and better-armed force to escape tyranny. I do not want to lose the right, however feeble it might be against modern military weaponry, to foment revolution when tyranny makes it necessary. Anyone who trusts "the government" is hopelessly naive. Other than that, this is damned good.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2660089177097719300.post-8846904676655501482018-05-22T09:36:16.056-07:002018-05-22T09:36:16.056-07:00Well written.
