Writing About Writing just passed half a million page views.
I can barely even wrap my brain around that. Half. A. Million.
Half a million is the population of Fresno, and nearly Tucson. We've past Miami, Atlanta, Sacramento, and my current hat resting locale of Oakland. Every time I think about it, my head starts to spin a little. Statistically speaking, most writers, and even a lot of published authors are in my rear view mirror.
And as with any of these milestones, I'm happy and excited, but mostly I am honored and awed by all of you. I can't thank you enough for reading--through goofy ass "plot arcs" and the time when life got in the way and posting got a little thin. I know that over half of these hits came from the viral success of "Changing the Creepy Guy Narrative," but I still couldn't have done it without all of you. It was still all of you that made the proliferation possible, sharing the post far and wide until it took off on its own.
I don't know exactly what the future holds. Will I write something else that goes viral? Will my fiction get some attention? Will I struggle in the twilight between hobby and paid work for years and years? What ever happens, it's you guys that make it tolerable and wonderful and exciting. So thank you all for reading.
