Best YA for Young Women (Semifinal 2)

What is the best book (or series) marketed to young women?

Our second semifinal round is live! From your nominations through the quarter finals. Decide now which titles will go on to our final round. And there are a couple of interesting twists as the shaking out of the quarter finals means that a couple of authors have multiple entries on this poll.

Everyone will get three (3) votes. The top four will go on to the final round.

The poll itself is on the bottom left of the side menus, below the "About the Author."

The semifinals will be up for only a week each, so that we can move on to the final round and wrap up this poll in time for something new in July. So don't delay.

  1. Hi, I have a small quibble with the poll options for Semifinal 2. You appear to have swapped out The Finishing School series by Gail Carriger, which was 3rd in Quarterfinal 2 (with 36 votes), and replaced it with the Lunar Chronicles, which was 5th in Quarterfinal 4 (with 17 votes). Was this a mistake? The first title in the Lunar Chronicles is Cinder, which was 3rd in Semifinal 1, so it's already represented. I know that Gail has a strong following and is local, so there might be a large overlap between her readers and yours.

    Thanks!

    1. I'm a little confused right now, (this is quarterfinal 2 and Carriger wasn't even on it

But I'm happy to add it if there's been an oversight SOMEWHERE.

  2. Sorry...Carriger took 3rd in Quarterfinal 3. There were a lot of details to remember as I scrolled back and forth through the posts and my brain is clearly too old to keep track of stuff for more than 30 seconds without writing it down. Thanks for adding the option!
