I liked the piece of paper background, but it's got to go. I thought it kind of reflected whole writerly motif and even hinted at writing that is a little less polished (being on a ripped out sheet of a spiral notebook like it was) and a little more bloggy. However, logistically there's a problem with the visual. The actual graphic of the sheet of paper only goes down so far, and after that the dark text becomes difficult to read. I was hoping to get more than two entries on the home screen, and I don't want to be worrying about whether or not my next paragraph might be completely invisible on the page.
Good by trusty paper graphic. You were, however briefly, a dear and true background.
For now I will change it to this lovely background of a world map. This isn't a travel blog, and I am not even remotely cosmopolitan, so it would be difficult for me to find a less appropriate image. Perhaps this will keep me from succumbing to apathy or procrastination.
