My drug of choice is writing––writing, art, reading, inspiration, books, creativity, process, craft, blogging, grammar, linguistics, and did I mention writing?

No T-Shirts For You

Never has something not mainstream been SO not mainstream.
Writing About Writing: You've Probably Never Heard of It--Seriously.
No really.  I mean, like, ever.

[I am working on part two of A Demon's Rubicon, so I'm going to do some light stuff in the meantime.]

I'd like to thank everyone who participated in the poll about merchandise.  The (very) clear message is that the world's just not ready for Writing About Writing t-shirts and keychains yet.  I'm pretty sure the four people who have been telling me how awesome the idea would be are only representative of themselves and that after I sold four, I would end up with chirping crickets.

This is really good news for you.

The ubiquity of Writing About Writing merchandise would cause W.A.W. to become an overnight sensation and strip you of your opportunity to be hipsters about W.A.W.  As it is, you can still put on glasses and say "You've probably never heard of it," and you will almost certainly be correct.

I'll put the next of my quick and dirty polls up in a few hours.
